The final 10 nights of Ramadan 2020 are almost upon us! The opportunity for potential rewards is huge so we should take advantage of it.
Indeed, We revealed [the Qur’an] during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. (97:1-5)
Imagine. It is better than 1,000 months. Doing good deeds and donating in charity is assumed to be multiplied, in sha Allah.
If you consider every night of the last 10 nights of Ramadan to possibly be Laylat Al-Qadr then, in sha Allah, you will benefit from that special time.
A’isha asked the Prophet, “O Messenger of Allah! If I knew which night is Laylatul-Qadr, what should I say during it?” And he instructed her to say:
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwan tuhibbul-‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عُفُوٌّ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
O Allah! You are Most Forgiving, and you love to forgive. So forgive me.
It is advisable to give in charity (as much as you feel comfortable with even if it’s only 25cents or $1) each night in the last 10 nights, to pray tahajjud, read at least a little Quran, and to do as many good deeds as you can.
“Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”
“Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.”
Take advantage of the last 10 nights and, in sha Allah, you will be rewarded for it!
